We are looking for a highly motivated Medical Education and Training Specialist to join our team in the GIGAN* region Diabetes Operating Unit, to develop and execute Medical Education and Training initiatives targeting prescribers, patients, and caregivers. We are a small group, working closely with our field and marketing colleagues in our countries as well as our Training and Education colleagues in EMEA and other regions.

 *Position based in one of the GIGAN countries, Austria, Denmark, Finland, Israel, Greece, Germany, Norway, Sweden, or Switzerland. Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned. 

In close collaboration with colleagues in the GIGAN Medical Education and Training team develop regional Medical Education and Training plan for specific products and services Through close collaboration with marketing and field colleagues ensure to have an updated understanding of the individual country’s medical education and training needs Have a close collaboration with the EMEA Training and Education team to represent the GIGAN region regarding medical education and training needs Ensure medical education and training material developed by EMEA is localized for the GIGAN region and countries When needed develop specific medical education and training material and services for the GIGAN region and countries Drive and execute internal training of our colleagues in marketing, sales, and training as well as other groups when needed Drive and execute medical education events both regionally as well as locally when needed Collaborate with health care professionals (HCPs) as speakers for medical education events as well as advisors for expert meetings and advisory boards Ensure that all Medtronic and country specific applicable regulations, policies, and procedures are adhered to Must Have: Minimum Requirements Good knowledge and understanding of diabetes incl. 

diabetes therapy Understanding of diabetes technology Understanding of HCP and patient needs regarding education and medical technology Interest in developing and running education and training programs and material Excellent interpersonal collaboration and communication skills Is happy to work in a mixture of dynamic,

 team environment and autonomously Working in cross-functional team Good organizational and product management skills Fluency in English Computer literacy including experience utilizing the MS office products; word, excel, powerpoint, sharepoint and teams Nice to Have Health Care/Scientific educational background Minimum 4 years of experience in the Pharmaceutical or Medical Device Industry Experience with different digital platforms, especially creating content to be used on such platforms Experience in clinical, technical, marketing, education, or sales roles within diabetes Experience with interpreting and communicating medical and scientific information Creative problem solving Fluency in one or more of the languages from the region Experience in public speaking and presenting Strong written and verbal communication skills Experience in coordinating, organizing and facilitating training Willingness to travel approx.
