The Avery Dennison Label and Graphic Materials Group North America is looking for a Training Coordinator who will lead area specific training efforts, be part of the plant training team, and document control efforts. In this role, they will be responsible for developing and managing area specific training processes including onboarding new and transferred employees as well as ongoing training efforts. They will manage area specific document control efforts and documentation in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 requirements.
This role is located in Greenfield, IN reporting to the site Training Manager. Computer skills, including a working knowledge of the G Suite tools, are required and will be used frequently. Strong knowledge of area specific processes and an ability to teach and mentor are key to success within this role.
Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop, update, or lead the creation of area specific training material to support training requirements such as standard work, one point lessons, video training, presentations, procedure documentation, training documentation/ checklists, and training plans.
Maintain training documentation for department functions.
Coordinate and conduct new-hire training efforts for onboarding as assigned
Coordinate and work with department managers to identify and deliver training based on needs of the individual or department
Ability to track, record, and link improvement in training to improvement in department metrics
Oversee daily training activities of multiple team members and coordinate schedules and assignments with Team Managers to ensure employees are able to learn and demonstrate all skills necessary to be successfully trained.
Deliver training developed by others for MOC changes, incident corrective actions, customer complaint investigations, etc.
Ensure consistent application of policies and procedures throughout training.
Maintain and manage area specific documentation efforts to ensure ISO 9001:2015 conformance. Including document audit process.
Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
Perform other duties as assigned.
3+ years experience in manufacturing.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; strong presentation skills
Able to effectively work with various functions and levels within the organization
Have the demonstrated ability to mentor and coach employees
Preferred Requirements:
Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015. Knowledge of other quality standards is a plus.
Six Sigma and Lean Training
Experience in coaching or mentoring in the work environment
Demonstrated record of successfully implementing and sustaining improvement actions on the production floor.
