Job Description
Trainer & Assessors conduct quality training & assessment for learners undertaking a VET qualification or course, whilst ensuring that state and national contractual and compliance requirements are met. To promote and drive traineeships within the KFC Equity and Franchise market.
- Conduct Traineeship Inductions ensuring they are completed in timely manner to meet RTO expectations and guidelines.
- Conduct allocated training and assessments as per RTO requirements, ensuring assessments and associated work is completed in a timely & accurate manner in accordance with KPIs and periodic reporting requirements.
- Conduct completion visits in a timely manner ensuring all work/evidence is complete and accurate and Learner and Employer surveys are completed at time of completion.
- Attend and be actively involved in RTO state and national meetings, as well as area and store meetings as needed or determined by the RTO State Manager. This will help restaurants understand the benefits of traineeships, especially for school -based students and WACE.
- Undertake and maintain records of Professional Development/Industry Consultation as required by regulatory bodies and determined by either the RTOSM/National RTO Manager or the RTO Quality Support Officer.
- Liaise with traineeship store contact in regards to in-store work performance, outcomes & meeting targets. Report non-compliances to RTOSM.
- Liaise with Area Coaches, People Excellence Coaches, Franchisees etc. to strengthen training systems and compliance across all restaurants and support developing and identifying future bench.
- Manage expenses in most efficient manner and within RTO budgets.
- Achieve KPI’s (includes the onboarding of new franchise partners to utilize RTO services) as provided by NRTOM and create action plans as necessary.
- Nominate and submit application for State Training Awards (one per state)
- Contribute to continuous improvement through participating in validation and moderation activities, state and national audits including any follow up, file audits and CI Register updates.
- Other ad hoc RTO activities as required by RTOSM or NRTOM such as document development, management of student records and mapping for new qualifications.
Knowledge and Skills required
- Sound High School education with Higher School Certificate preferred.
- Fast Food retail experience preferred but not essential.
- Must hold TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
- Must have a Retail Qualification or equivalent retail work experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, particularly in Coaching & Support. Able to deal with conflict.
- Preferred experience with Microsoft 365 including Teams and Outlook including Word and Excel.
- Proven organisational skills, multi-tasking, planning and time management.
- Can work autonomously - ability to take on own initiative and follow through to meet deadlines.
- Reliable vehicle and valid drivers’ license
