Position Summary

Trainee, Deloitte Cyber Career Accelerator Program

Are you ready to learn new technical and analytical skills to launch a career in cybersecurity? The Deloitte Cyber Career Accelerator can help you start your cybersecurity career journey. Program participants who successfully complete the program and meet Deloitte’s hiring requirements and needs will be offered a full-time position in Deloitte’s Cyber Practice.

This competitive program is designed for college graduates with little to no cybersecurity experience who are self-motivated to learn new concepts and are interested in a long-term career in cyber. Through this full-time, 11-week, paid training program, you will learn skills essential to cyber, including: Network Security, System Security, Python, Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC), Logs and Detection, and Threat Intelligence. Qualifications

Required:

  • Interest in a career in cybersecurity
  • Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science degree
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future

Preferred:

  • Work experience or experience in a professional environment (e.g., internships, summer positions, school jobs); strongly preferred work experience in IT or technical consulting
  • Familiarization with modern operating systems and common enterprise applications
  • Strong academic track record (GPA of 3.2 or above)

Post-Program Full-Time Roles

Trainees who successfully complete the program and meet Deloitte’s hiring requirements and needs will be offered a full-time position in Deloitte’s Cyber Practice for roles such as Security Operations Center (SOC) Level 1 Analysts. Upon successful completion of the program, program participants offered full-time roles should be able to work in a Deloitte office in Colorado Springs, CO or Mechanicsburg, PA on 24/7 rotating shift work in support of clients. SOC analysts perform tasks such as:

  • Monitoring client sources of potential security incidents, health alerts with monitored solutions, and requests for information. This includes the monitoring of real-time channels or dashboards, periodic reports, email inboxes, helpdesk or other ticketing system, telephone calls, and chat sessions
  • Maintaining awareness of the client’s technology architecture, known weaknesses, the architecture of the security solutions used for monitoring, imminent and pervasive threats as identified by client threat intelligence, and recent security incidents
  • Following client and incident-specific procedures to perform triage of potential security incidents to validate and determine needed mitigation

About the Deloitte Cyber Career Accelerator Program

This training program will take place over 11 weeks, April - July 2022. Deloitte will compensate trainees for the duration of the program*, which is delivered 100% virtually. The training will be delivered by Flatiron School, LLC and Deloitte. During the training program, Trainees will have the opportunity to build relationships with their fellow trainees and other Deloitte Cyber professionals.

Trainees are employees of Deloitte and are expected to be available 40-hours a week Monday -Friday during core business hours (9 am – 5 pm) in Central Time. Trainees who successfully complete the program and meet Deloitte’s hiring requirements and needs will be offered a full-time position in Deloitte’s Cyber Practice for roles that are in-person at one of three Deloitte offices: Mechanicsburg, PA or Colorado Springs, CO.

*The cost of the training program is considered a taxable benefit to the program participant and will be subject to all applicable taxes. 

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in Colorado, Deloitte is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation for this role. This compensation is specific to the State of Colorado and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions. Compensation for this role is $28 per hour.
