Job Purpose and Impact

We seek a Trader Trainee who will help the trading team in developing risk strategies for buying and selling Vegetable Oils for our Regional Product Line. Under the direct supervision of traders, you will conduct face-to-face and remote selling to both new and existing customers.

Key Accountabilities

• Assist traders in the analysis of information of the variables that affect the price components of commodities. The role has ongoing interaction with customers and teams in Latin America which requires the incumbent to be able to speak Spanish in a daily basis. 
•  Assist teammates reconcile routine/repetitive profit and loss estimates and reports.
• Monitor customer and competitor activity and industry trends. Assistance in the generation of Market Share reports.
• Help implement sales strategies, identify potential customers and foster existing customer relationships.
• Analyze and consolidate/report regional supply and demand to other Cargill offices within the enterprise under the direct supervision of the trader. 
• Handle basic issues and problems under direct supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
• Fluent in Spanish and English
• Able to travel a 10% of the time

• Strong analytical and quantitative skills 
• Ability to deal with ambiguity, effective decision making and problem-solving skills
