Job Description

The Trade Promotion Analyst is a member of the broader North America Strategic Demand Leadership team. Reporting to the Strategic Revenue Management Lead, this associate will work closely with sales teams and segment finance to optimize Mars Food revenue. They are the segment’s functional expert in our Trade Promotion management tool, Visual Fabirq. The play the key go-between Global IT resources and individual users, supporting adopting, usage, and insights from the data leading to actions. The TPM Analyst provides regular updates on trade which are integrated into the S&OP process.

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelors Degree or College diploma in related field
  • Minimum 1-2 years’ experience, preferably in the CPG industry, with work history in trade management, sales, category management, marketing, consumer insights, accounting, or finance
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Experience working with trade management software such as VisualFabriq or Compass preferred
  • Experience working with Power BI preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

What will be your key responsibilities?

Direct responsibility for oversight of:

  • TPM tool (Visual Fabriq) and Trade Reporting
  • Train field sales and broker partners on TPM tool operation and maintenance
  • Develop and maintain sales support tools
  • Develop price lists and associated sales materials

Enable success of Mars Food NA through outstanding leadership in the areas of:

  • Assist in reviewing, validating, and analyzing promotional events
  • Track all aspects of trade spending against budgets
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with sales team, broker partners, and other cross functional departments including finance and systems/data support
  • Lead monthly trade review calls with the field sales team; identify issues and drive to resolution to ensure the business maintains attractive financial shape
  • Coordinate with sales team to validate the integrity and accuracy of deductions
  • Support the Strategic Demand and Sales teams in the Annual Planning process
  • Support Strategic Demand team on various other activities such as sales tracking and Nielsen/syndicated updates and reports
