Job Purpose and Impact

The Trade & Capital Markets (TCM) Senior Originator Trader will drive business origination for various Latin America and Caribbean markets. In this role, you will develop new business opportunities and solidify existing relationships with banks and corporates to support growth initiatives. You will develop and understanding of customer's needs and provide them with financial solutions that fit those needs.

Key Accountabilities

• Develop and maintain deep relationships with strategic internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure proper understanding and compliance of the special operations group applicable to origination.
• Develop deep knowledge of the customer business strategy and explore and develop new industries related to trade in the assigned geography.
• Collaborate with functional and trading teams to develop new low risk customers in the assigned geography, growing the business to achieve revenue objectives and prospecting market and industry research.
• Develop deep understanding of all structures and market these structures to new and existing costumers.
• Develop and structure complex financing origination proposals that represent maximum value optimization to the customer and business and address the customer’s key issues, needs and requirements.
• Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent solid formal education in a related field
• Financial markets knowledge
• Knowledge of corporate and trade finance
• Fluent in Spanish
• Strong analytical capability
• Minimum of four years of related work experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Latin America and Caribbean capital markets
• 1 year or more of work experience in corporate and trade finance
• Structure moderately complex financial solutions based on current and potential market opportunities
• Experience within commercial activity
• Previous experience in development/prospecting
• Credit and risk understanding
• Proven customer relationship, engagement and development capabilities
• Strong collaboration skills - individual and team contributor
• Ability to work with minimum supervision
• Driven and self-motivated
• Strong attention to detail
