The Role

The Trade and eCommerce Manager will be responsible for setting and driving our trade strategy and will help optimise the end-to-end customer journey onsite to drive conversion. This is both a strategic and analytical role, where you will support the Business Success Lead to set and monitor sales and profitability and provide recommendations to improve trade performance based on sales and customer behavioural KPIs. This is a highly collaborative role where you will work with our Marketing and Seller Management teams to set and implement our trade calendar, and identify key promotional opportunities based on trade performance and external trends. Alongside trade, you will also support website performance and work with our Product and Tech teams to ensure the marketplace website is optimised to maximise conversion and performance at each step of the customer journey.

What you’ll be doing…

  • Deliver daily/weekly/monthly and ad-hoc trade reports, and provide recommendations to improve trade performance
  • Own and implement the Marketplace trading calendar, factoring key trade and promotional events on ASOS.com and the wider retail market to drive trade performance globally
  • Support the Business Success Lead to set up and update annual/monthly sales and profitability forecasts
  • Work with our Seller Management team to identify key opportunities to improve relevance and quality of our product offering, as well as quality of seller listings onsite
  • Work with our Marketing team identify promotional opportunities to highlight in-season / demand product categories and trends onsite
  • Work with our Product and Tech teams to support day-to-day optimisation of the ASOS Marketplace website, and identify opportunities to improve conversion and the overall customer experience
  • Partner with our ASOS Digital Commerce team to identify placement opportunities on ASOS.com to drive overall visits and conversion for ASOS Marketplace
  • Monitor competitor trends and activities in the fashion eCommerce and resale sector and present findings in weekly trade meetings
  • Set up reporting dashboards to enable regular analysis of trade, seller and customer behavioural KPIs
  • Support the Marketplace team on insights where needed, including providing of seller performance and product category insight
  • Develop and build strong relationships with both the Marketplace and wider ASOS Teams

Qualifications

We’d love to meet someone with…

  • At least 3+ years of experience in a trade and eCommerce role in the online retail / marketplace sector; experience in the online fashion sector is preferred
  • Extensive experience in trade forecasting and budgeting in the online retail / marketplace sector
  • Good knowledge of digital marketing channels 
  • Passionate about the customer and is driven to offering a best-in-class digital customer shopping experience
  • Data-driven with excellent attention to detail
  • Proven experience collaborating across teams and delivering results
  • Self-motivated, resourceful, and adaptable to a fast-paced working environment
  • Ability to be both strategic and reactive
  • Has an interest in fashion
