Position Summary:

Manage day to day activities for the tool house. Responsible for the build and repair of our die cast tooling aluminum foundry production.  Responsibilities extend through both the current product lines as well as proposed new product lines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage shop workflow
• Maintain and forecast manpower planning for the operations to match demand
• Reduce product costs through productivity and quality improvements.
• Implement changes or systems to optimize current process
• Facilitate implementation of improved quality standards
• Provide for appropriate training to plant personnel to assure their continued development
• Conduct timely performance reviews
• Improve on-the-job safety
• Manage performance to budget
• Capable of administer/ monitor capital spending plans

Required Qualifications:

• 6-8 years' experience in the skilled trades environment, including previous supervisory responsibility
• Previous experience in Machining or Maintenance operations

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Operations Management or similar field
• Knowledge of capital appropriations, manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, and quality control maintenance
• Knowledge of work order systems and ability to prioritize work loads
