Job Description

Position Summary:

Team members will assist in the manufacturing of Thunder Jet Aluminum boats by fabricating aluminum components in preparation for welding and installation. This is an entry level position that may include, but not limited to the following job duties and responsibilities.  

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Clean and distribute parts to their appropriate location within the facility
  • Load and unload, clean, and maintain CNC router tables
  • Preform daily and weekly maintenance on all equipment
  • Operate overhead crane system, CNC router, press brake, chop saw, band saw, sheer, and other equipment as necessary. 
  • Track and maintain inventory of bulk aluminum parts in the weld shop.
  • Responsible for compliance to safety policies and procedures, as well as identifying risks and hazards prior to job completion.
  • Work with team and other departments to ensure quality products and follow documented work instructions.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal directions.
  • Candidate has to be reliable. Regular attendance is required.
  • Provide a great level of attention to detail and focus on the given task.
  • Work overtime as needed to complete daily tasks or projects
  • May be required to perform other duties as needed

Required and Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of a variety of equipment and hand/power tools.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year recent mechanical or assembly experience.
  • Ability to stand, bend, and stoop for 10+ hour shifts.
  • Ability to follow established safety processes.
  • Detailed and organized.
  • Self starter, team player with a good safety awareness.
  • Must be willing and able to lift up to 80 lbs.

Work Environment:

Regularly required to work at heights on platforms, lifting parts and pieces up to 50 lbs., traveling up and down stairs on a constant basis, sitting, squatting and bending in various awkward positions for certain lengths of time - including working overhead, traveling in and out of work areas, walking and being on your feet for a majority of the work day. Exposed to noise, dust, fumes and odors on a daily basis.  Physical exertion is required.
