Thin Film Sensor Development Lead Engineer

As a Lead Engineer you will develop industry leading technologies and support on-going production of Panametrics thin-film sensors. You will work closely with subject matter experts and lead cross functional teams to validate and introduce new/novel thin-film sensor concepts into Panametrics products.

In this role you will conduct, research and development in the field of the thin film microsensor technologies. You will demonstrate, through test and/or analyses, the performance and implementation of potential concepts and provide technical support for the production of new & existing thin-film sensors.
 

As a Thin Film Sensor Development Lead Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Conducting thin-film sensor product/process research and development under guidance and/or in a team setting.
  • Providing technical support for production of thin-film sensors. Participate in or lead systematic problem solving of production issues.
  • Working with cross-functional teams to deliver products/concepts to key stakeholders
  • Documenting and communicate results and analysis to business leadership .
  • Keeping up to date on external progress of relevant fields of science and technology in the thin-film design and fabrication spaces as well as identifying and evaluating relevant/promising technologies.
  • Planning and lead technology development projects

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have BS degree in chemical or material science engineering, we will consider other degreed candidates
  • Have familiarity with thin film sensing systems/devices
  • Have hands on experience with semiconductor or chemical processing for materials/fabrication
  • A motivated self-starter, proactive attitude taking on initiatives to lead and solve problems
  • Have excellent communication and presentation skills to articulate information in a clear and concise manner
  • Have strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root cause and implement controlled changes
