The Boeing Company is looking for a Test & Evaluation Engineering Manager based out of Seattle, WA. This manager will be responsible for leading a team of engineers in the Flight Test Engineering Analysis (FTEA) unit. We are seeking highly qualified candidates who thrive in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
Position Responsibilities:
Manages engineering employees who support the planning, execution and reporting of a wide range of commercial and military derivative aircraft flight tests
Develops plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals
Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management, and leads process improvement activities
Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
Manages, develops and motivates employees
Adapts to continuously changing requirements and priorities
This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.
The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person†as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person†includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
Experience leading people in a technical environment as a team lead or manager
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience in human factors
Experience interacting with regulatory agencies
Training or experience as an aviation pilot
Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required
Experience working in a lab test, flight test, or similar test environment
Project Management experience in a technical environment
Skills management experience
