The Role:

Come and be part of our IT team who keep all of our business technology and systems running, and do everything we can to safeguard us from cyber threats. We partner all areas of the business to help plan, build, and implement new technology for now and the future, whether that be a website release, a new till solution or even more automation in our distribution centre. Once implemented we make sure everything is running as it should and fix anything needed to keep our business going.

As a Test Analyst, you will support the /Test Lead in the creation and delivery of testing programmes on behalf of Project Managers. You will be responsible for preparing for and executing the test phases on IT projects assigned to you to ensure that deliverables meet the functional and technical requirements and quality standards required by New Look.

Previous experience of IT testing is desirable, but this role would also suit someone with a relevant degree who is looking to start a career in IT

Key responsibilities:

• Preparation of test facilities

• Creating test schedules and detailed plans

• Writing test scripts aligned with business requirements and ensuring traceability back to the requirements/user stories

• Constructing test data

• Executing test plans and capturing outcomes in JIRA

• Logging defects and liaising with 3rd party suppliers or internal developer teams to obtain fixes

• Liaising with the project manager and other project stakeholders such as Business Analysts, Architects and Business Stakeholders

• Reporting progress and results of test execution, by ensuring test results are clearly communicated to the relevant teams

• Escalating issues and risks

• Supporting business users with the preparation and execution of user acceptance tests

• Mentoring and helping to on-board 3rd party flex resource

• Adhering to established testing policies, methods, and standards

• Contributing to continuous improvement within the testing area, identifying opportunities for improvement and actively supporting change initiatives

• You have a good working understanding of Microsoft applications – Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Project and Visio
