Help us strengthen our product test team as 'Test Analyst'

Location - This role is Home-Based remote but will involve periodic travel to Capita SSS sites such as Chippenham office with occasional overnight stay may be involved.

Successful applicant must be eligible to obtain UK SC level security clearance.

Full Clean UK Driving License

The product test team is responsible for testing the systems that Capita design and build for its customers.

Test Analyst will be involved in providing Test Services for our products including test preparation as well as test execution and fault reporting.

This role involves testing of the actual systems to be delivered to customer sites; therefore, the role will include test phases both within the company’s factory premises as well as on customer sites.

Test Analyst will be working in an Agile methodology

What you’ll be doing:

• Producing Test Scripts, working closing with Business Analysts.
• Testing throughout project lifecycle, delivering within targeted milestones with minimal issues found by customers in production
• Raise any test issues
• Ensure appropriate testing coverage
• Test Execution
• Participates in testing software products, components and/or systems.
• Codes, executes, and summarizes reliability and validation test cases; interfaces with developers on test results.
• Develops scenarios to test software products, components and/or systems against functional requirements. Implements and utilizes automated load-testing software.
• Participates in, and facilitates, stress and volume tests.

What we’re looking for:

• Experience in hands on testing
• Proficient in test methodology, practises and processes
• Demonstrable understanding of software architecture and construction
• Experience in selection and implementation of test tools
• Established awareness of software automation technologies
• Experience in working in an Agile Environment
• Knowledge of software development methodologies.
• Strong Quality and Customer focus.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Manages deadlines and helps others do the same.
• Makes decisions quickly, ensuring reasoning is clear.   
• Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
• Understanding of non-functional testing
• Knowledge of Control Rooms solutions
