Job Description
Territory: Louisiana, Mississippi, and surrounding communities. Candidates must be able to travel to and meet with all agencies within this geographic area. There is frequent overnight travel with this position (50% travel).
Preferred home office location: New Orleans, Baton Rouge and surrounding communities.
Must-have qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field of study (Marketing, Business Management) and three years of outside business to business sales experience
- Instead of a degree, five years of outside business to business sales experience or five years of experience in the property and casualty field
- Compliance with Progressive’s driving standards and/or policy
- Valid driver’s license and auto insurance
Preferred skills
- Property and casualty insurance experience, licenses, or insurance specifications
- Prefer candidate with commercial lines knowledge
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to use formal and informal networks to accomplish goals
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Compensation
- Territory Sales Representative- Salary range: $86,000-$105,000/year
- Gainshare bonus up to 30% of your eligible earnings based on company performance
