Job Description:

This is a limited service (temporary) position, primarily to provide relief for team member absences. 

Normally works under the supervision of a Stores & Receiving Team Manager.


Job functions include:

  • Performs duties associated with receiving and safely unloading and processing direct and indirect materials.
  • Inspects all incoming parts and materials to match part description, overages, shortages, or damage.
  • Performs duties associated with stocking, controlling, and issuing spare parts, materials (including tools), and/or supplies (including fuel), in accordance with established procedures.
  • Operates a stand-up narrow aisle or sit-down fork lift. 
  • Maintains an adequate supply of stock in issue bins.
  • Fills requisitions and issues items to employees having properly authorized Stores and Spare Parts Requisitions.
  • Weighs designated incoming and outgoing truck and rail shipments and routes delivery carriers to specific locations for unloading.
  • Perform housekeeping tasks necessary to maintain warehouse, yards, and equipment in a neat, orderly condition, including correcting or reporting to supervision immediately any unsafe conditions or practices.
  • Wear personal protective equipment as required (may include: safety glasses, fire retardant coveralls, safety shoes, hard hats, face shields, hearing protection, etc.)
  • Physical requirements include:
    1. Working indoors and outdoors (in all weather conditions)
    2. Standing, walking, climbing stairs and ladders
    3. Working at heights
    4. Lifting and moving loads of various weights
  • Comprehends and follows written and verbal instructions; communicates effectively.

 

  • Uses computers to:
    1. Access procedures and other information
    2. Access and complete required training
    3. Input/retrieve data

 

  • Follows all safety, environmental and company rules and policies.

 

  • Performs other related duties as designated by supervision.

Qualifications 

Candidates must have the following:

• Must be at least 18 years of age

• High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)

• Minimum of 5 years of warehousing experience including fork truck operation.

• Valid state motor vehicle driver’s license.

 

Desirable Skills/Qualities:

• Knowledge of, and demonstrated commitment to, company safety and environmental policies and programs.

• Broad experience with operations and/or maintenance at TXO

• Ability to communicate clearly and tactfully with a broad range of people.

• Proficiency in SAP, Excel, and Word, including the ability to create basic spreadsheets

• Knowledge of SAP requisitioning model or similar inventory management software

• Experience operating stand-up narrow aisle and sit-down fork lifts.

• Good verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to work with limited supervision
