The Technology Operations Analyst is responsible for coordinating and executing the processing of all production control jobs, programs, and peripheral equipment. The Technology Operations Analyst monitors and tracks production data processes, mitigates service interruptions, provides status on data processes, identifies data quality issues and facilitates their resolution. The Technology Operations Analyst also plays a role in event and incident management and continual improvement.

Key Responsibilities
Day-to-Day Infrastructure Operations
Executes standard and repetitive technical and operational tasks.
Ensures the proper set-up, processing, and documentation of batch and ad hoc production control jobs according to processes and procedures.
Utilizes system scripting to program and operate production related equipment and ensure quality data output of production run results.
Establishes and maintains daily, weekly, and monthly job schedules.
Submits batch processes and monitors job scheduling tool for errors from scheduled or ad hoc jobs.
Reviews application run instructions, recovery instructions, and other operational documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with standards.
Downloads, analyzes, processes, and monitors information for specific applications, ensuring accuracy and proper completion.
Event and Incident Management
Updates, tracks, and reports on all production issues and works with appropriate team to resolve issues.
Monitors and tracks production systems and processes to ensure on-time, high quality delivery of data to product teams and systems.
Provides analysis of data and process issues that impact production.
Continuous Improvement
Monitors production standards and procedures and recommends improvements.
Identifies improvements in processes to minimize incident occurrence or increase speed of resolution.
Contributes to regular operational performance reviews to generate continuous improvement opportunities.
Skills
Technology Operations
Provide technical expertise to enable the correct application of operational procedures.
Use management tools to determine load and performance statistics.
Contribute to the planning and implementation of maintenance and installation work.
Implement agreed changes and maintenance routines.
Identify operational problems and contributes to their resolution, checking that they are managed in accordance with agreed standards and procedures.
Provide reports and proposals for improvement to specialists, users and managers.
Service Operations
Monitor service delivery against service level agreements and maintains records of relevant information.
Analyze service records against agreed service levels regularly to identify actions required to maintain or improve levels of service, and initiates or reports these actions.
Monitor service capacity and initiate actions to resolve any shortfalls according to agreed procedures.
Monitor and analyze service and component availability, reliability, maintainability and serviceability against agreed service levels.
Investigate and coordinate the resolution of potential and actual service problems.
Qualifications:
Essential:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science degree or related field or equivalent combination of industry related professional experience and education
Working experience providing infrastructure operations support
Working experience with batch scheduling technologies
Working experience with monitoring technologies and analyzing real-time statistics
Working experience working with a ticket management/service desk system
Working experience in an ITIL-based environment
Working experience as a participant in a change management process
Working experience in creating scripts for Unix, Linus, Windows, MVS
Working experience in Microsoft Office products
Working experience in enterprise technology systems
Desirable:
2 – 5 years of experience in a Network Operations Center (NOC) or Enterprise Operations Center (EOC) strongly preferred
Working knowledge of batch scheduling technologies
ITIL Foundations Certification
