ABOUT THE JOB:

As a Cloud Technology Architect, you will be working with your colleagues within the SubDomain’s delivery teams within an Agile Environment. Being an enthusiast in Cloud and Data, with a strong DevSecOps mindset, and thanks to your excellent facilitation and solicitation skills you will effectively engage with teams, develop a good understanding of their context and the challenges they are dealing with.

You will enhance the capability of the wider team through continuously exploring new ways to enhance the quality of solutions, ensure that project/product technical options are considered and recommended approaches are clearly designed with valuable solutions.

Take ownership of Cloud and Data Transformation solution architecture roadmap. You will drive maturity improvements in this space by adopting suitable latest industry trends.

You will be identifying and implementing improvement architectural practices in an agile environment and mapping the discrepancy between the current processes and the desired state in order to continuously innovate the IT processes and to adapt them to market trends. You ensure that this technical implementation is in accordance with the enterprise and solution architecture and the objectives of the organization. In addition to maintaining a helicopter view of this technology landscape, you also ensure the correct implementation of the correct components, standards, design principles and patterns for software development.

You will maintain a strong understanding of the bigger picture, keeping yourself continuously informed of the latest innovations, technologies, patterns and practices in Data Engineering and Cloud Architecture space. You will think ahead and understand the overall business context and strategy, and you will use these insights to shape emergent architecture of the Pricing, Yielding, planning or Analytics sub-domain. You will ensure we have the architecture capacity, capabilities and culture to deliver business outcomes sustainably and with the right level of quality from the outset.

You will use your deep skills to help teams improve their expertise in Cloud (AWS) Architecture, Data Design, Pipeline Design along with ETLs and Analytics with experience in Realtime 24/7 available systems across the Domain. You never come across as preachy or dogmatic, but you are always clear and vocal about what you believe in. You always drive for technical excellence, ownership, and self-organisation at team level. You help the team to find a balance between tactical solutions and long-term platform sustainability and maintainability.

You will, together with your colleagues, research, evaluate and test new Cloud, Analytics and Data processes and tools and help teams to use them effectively. You will collaborate closely with Technology Leads to support increasing Cloud practice, data speciality and DevSecOps maturity in all teams and help achieve the agreed OKRs/goals at a Team and Domain level. You will help define the technical roadmap of the Domain’s technology strategy, objectives and develop new tools and techniques to improve the necessary capabilities across the domain.

• Data warehouse experience like Oracle, Redshift, Snowflake and creating data Pipelines
• Data Flavour for Data Storage and Data Design for analytics and for other Data Use Cases
• Experience in Micro Service and Event driven Architecture and designing systems and product roadmap towards it.
