Shift: 1st (7am - 3pm)

Summary: Performs calibrations and maintains the calibration scheduling system to conform to facility requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The incumbent will perform other duties as assigned.

· Tests and calibrates measuring and indicating instruments for conformance to established government, commercial, and specification standards.

· Set up test equipment, measures accuracy of instruments used to record voltage, heat and magnetic resistance, etc.

· Adjust/repair instruments to meet calibration standards.

· Coordinates instrument re-certification with outside standards laboratories, which includes performing incoming inspections and documentation reviews on these instruments.

· Maintain calibrations scheduling database.

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

· Requires effective skills in mathematics and computers.

· Prior calibration experience is preferred.

· Strong organizational, oral and written communication skills.

· Ability to work with minimal supervision on routine calibrations and various projects as in individual or in a team environment.

Education and/or Experience:

Requires a high school diploma, 0 - 3 years related experience.

Maintenance, Electrical Troubleshooting, and Calibration experience preferred.

Maximo and QMIS experience preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • The position also involves lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to work alone
