The Wellbore Positioning Global team within Drilling Services Central Service Delivery are looking to recruit an individual with an inquisitive attitude towards problem solving to provide: technical support for WellArchitect Directional software, input into software requirements, software testing, and well planning insights for the team.

This position will require advanced user skills in WellArchitect and very strong IT skills to support end users & systems. The team is responsible for maintaining and developing Baker Hughes wellbore positioning standards and providing support to Operations and input to Product Line.

As a Technical Support Lead: Directional Software and Well Planning, you will be responsible for:

• Providing technical support to global Operations for WellArchitect via the Technical Support Portal
• Working closely with the software development teams on design, testing and continual improvement of features and follow through with bug tracking and resolution
• Supporting roll-out of the software product to global Operations and creating user documentation, content for online help, and training material
• Leading efforts to standardize software deployment and delivery, including server & database management
• Enhancing the capabilities of well planning personnel
• Interfacing as domain expert with Operations, clients, and other stakeholders
• Handling special projects as assigned

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have a Technical Degree (i.e. Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) or significant practical experience.
• Possess advanced-level WellArchitect user skills
• Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience creating directional well designs or providing technical support to well planners
• Strong IT skills to support end users and systems
• Have the ability to build a good working network with different stakeholders in the Product Centre and global Operations.
• Be fluent in written and spoken English with good communication and presentation skills.
