About the role:

ASOS is a unique and forward-thinking company which understands the opportunities data and technology has on driving the business forward. ASOS Studios are responsible for taking new products from the warehouse to the website, passing through ‘Shoot Ops’ where the products are modelled and expertly shot. 

The Quality Control, Retouching, Copy, Video Editing, Classification and Publishing activities require highly efficient applications that can not only cope with the demands of their work but that are also simple to maintain and adapt as the business continues to evolve.

You will need to have a real passion for delivery and enabling people to perform at their best by removing impediments.  A continuous improvement mindset is also important. Working within the Studios Tech platform, you will be delivering best in class solutions to fantastic business stakeholders.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Delivery: Shape, own and be accountable for all elements of the delivery plan, ensuring the team have buy-in to the plan and alignment across all colleagues involved in the project(s).
  • Support the Team: Actively monitor and help unblock impediments to ensure the team (or teams) have everything they need to effectively deliver their work.
  • Continuous Improvement: be the person who drives the team to look for improvements and raise the bar in everything they do, run retrospectives and ensure actions are followed up.
  • Coordination: Facilitate daily stand-up(s) for the team to ensure inter-team alignment. Interact and communicate with other tech teams across ASOS to ensure changes are aligned and released into production.
  • Financial Management: Extrapolate resourcing requirements from project estimations to help forecast costs and plan budgets.
  • Stakeholder Management: Use the appropriate channels (formal and informal) and language (technical/non-technical) to ensure that stakeholders always feel up to date with progress, issues and risks.
  • Quality Management: Ensure the result of an outcome meets the needs for which the project was executed; includes quality planning, assurance, and control. Ensure all cycles of testing are undertaken and defects managed in accordance with agreed priorities.
  • Risk Management: Identify and assess project risks, communicating them to respective stakeholders to ensure mitigation plans are put in place.
  • Service Readiness: Manage the service readiness plan for the area. Hold operational accountability and be the primary management escalation.

We are looking for someone who...

  • Has 5 years’ experience in delivering Software Projects.
  • Demonstrates experience in Agile software delivery Scrum, Kanban or XP.
  • Has worked in a Software Engineering environment and has an engineering mindset.
  • Enjoys working with others cross functionally, developing teamwork and collaboration.
