A bit about the role...


Costa Coffee is driving the evolution of our Data Platform using the latest Azure technology. To accelerate this we are looking to establish a new and exciting Agile team, which drives the need for a Technical Product Owner.  This role will help build and establish the foundations of a Data Squad within Costa.  As the Technical Product Owner you will:

  • Guide an internal team of developers and testers to build compelling internal products capable of accelerating Costa's growth around the globe
  • Embed a product mindset and Agile best practices in the team (collaboration with users, incremental delivery, releasing value early and often, etc.)
  • Build and maintain relationships around the business, working with stakeholders to identify business opportunities and turn them into products
  • Craft the team's vision and mission
  • Be accountable for the products and value delivered by the team
  • Inspire and energise the team and align towards one goal
  • Relentlessly and continuously foster improvements both incremental and radical
  • Have an entrepreneurial approach to delivery – a drive to deliver the best for customers

 

A bit about you…

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent)
  • Strong hands on experience as a Product Manager or Product owner in a data agile environment facilitating value delivery, estimation, refinement, and goal-setting
  • Able to manage and maintain a backlog from epics and high-level value down to stories and tasks within sprints
  • Experience working with enterprise technology Data & Analytics platforms e.g Azure
  • Expert with collaboration tools like git, jira/confluence or DevOps
  • Experience of coaching and developing team ownership of engineering, compliance, and data best practices such as OWASP, GDPR, etc
  • Able to manage internal technical products and prioritise work across streams using metrics like cost of delay, efficiency estimates, effort, reach, accuracy, impact, and scalability
  • Able to bridge the gap between technology and business – can understand systems, data, and integrations, and can translate and communicate effectively about technology capabilities with marketing, finance, retail, and other internal Costa teams and stakeholders
  • Experience managing stakeholders like senior leaders and other internal projects and business teams
  • Experience facilitating workshops to surface business opportunities and refine requirements
  • Experience working within software development teams in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects
