The Job

• Operate Data Centres in a 24x7 roster to maintain continuous uptime, environmental conditions, capacity, service delivery and operational efficiency for – Power, cooling, ELV, Fire and Building Services - domains
• Monitoring and first level troubleshooting of Data Center domains services, solve technical issues, completion of preventive and corrective maintenance activities of Data Centres as per manufactures and industry standards to meet the stated SLAs, KPI and Uptime expectations
• Monitor and manage utilities such as power, water, and fuel to facilitate uninterrupted Data Center operations and update management on status, and improvements
• Execute and monitor cross-functional projects in Power, cooling, ELV, Fire and Building Services domains, collate information, status reporting, escalations, and corrective actions to make sure that all stakeholders are properly updated
• Implementation of capacity enhancement, monitoring, energy, and cost saving projects to assure best and optimized power, cooling, and space utilisation
• Establish and facilitate infrastructure sharing and consolidation initiatives, joint field surveys, pre-sales, audits, and on-boarding/removals to satisfy various business requirements in time to time
• Identify, escalate, and attend to rectify the technological, health and safety, and security risks and concerns and address at the appropriate levels to maintain uptime and 24x7 operations
• Support data Centre governance, digitalization, agile practices and drive innovation and automation
• Synergise with internal and external staff to deliver high levels of performance by cross-functional engagement, training, and skills development

The Person

• NVQ Level 5 diploma qualification
• (Accredited by relevant body of the relevant country)
• Professional qualifications – Power, cooling, ELV, Fire and Building Services / Data Center design /operations qualifications are preferred
• Minimum 2 years of Data Centre Technical/Roster Operations Experience is preferred
• Technical competency in – Power, cooling, ELV, Fire and Building Services - Operation, implementation, certification, design, energy optimisation, energy auditing and energy accounting
• Competent in on site operations, should be able to work in stressful demanding situations
• Automation, digitalisation, and analytics experience
• Project management, vendor coordination, financial reporting, communicational skills, analytical skills, Interpersonal skills, negotiation Skills and operational planning skills
