As our Asset Manager you’re a fundamental part of the Service Management team. You are responsible for the daily and long-term strategic management of digital, software and tech related hardware across the ASOS estate (including affiliated companies). You will assist in forming procurement strategies to optimise tech spend across ASOS whilst ensuring all Technology assets across the enterprise are effectively identified, governed and controlled.

About the role:

• Ensures processes, tools, frameworks, standards, templates and blueprints remain relevant and in line with industry, providing active tailored support to maintain velocity and adherence to minimum standards
• Optimises spend on assets through active management of supplier relationships, networking and negotiating skills
• Tracks and reports the value and ownership of assets (hardware, software and digital) throughout their lifecycle. Provides a logical model of the infrastructure by identifying, controlling, maintaining and verifying the versions of all components required to deliver the platform services. Helps the data and reporting teams produce reports on the financial costs associated with the assets
• Schedules audits of assets and assets information. Investigates cases of non-compliance and escalates where these cannot be easily resolved
• Identifies and baselines assets and controls changes to asset information
• Ensures that hardware, software (such as licences), digital assets records (such as design files) and cloud products (such as MS Azure) are accurate, up-to-date and document all compliance processes
• Acts as a single point of contact for hardware, software and digital assets queries from internal stakeholders and suppliers
• Supports the development (or enhancement) of a configuration management database, helping to define its structure, including configuration item types, naming conventions required and option attributes and relationships
• Ensures the configuration management database is kept up to date and that the data is available when and where it is needed
• Leads the integration of Asset Management tooling with other systems as appropriate to drive automation and efficiencies in the way Asset Management functions

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering or business administration or significant equivalent experience.
• Specific experience in designing and implementing an enterprise level Asset Management capability across people, process and tooling
• Experience of working in a predominant cloud based environment
• Experience developing business cases and negotiating with vendors.
• Experience with the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) and IT Service Management. ITIL Foundations v3 certification a plus.
• Strong Leadership qualities and influencing skills
• Effective facilitator of decisions; comfortable with working through ambiguous initiatives to develop effective solutions.
• Excellent written, presentation, and verbal communication skills with experience communicating complex, technical concepts to all levels.
• Solid relationship management skills interacting horizontally and vertically across organizations.
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in high-pressure environment.
• Exceptional customer service orientation.
