BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for â€œdynamic, results driven” individual to join as a Talent Acquisition Specialist (contract position).  This position supports BorgWarner’s Indiana Technical Center (ITC) with sites in Noblesville and Kokomo, Indiana; and also supports the Auburn Hills, Michigan location. This position is located at Noblesville, Indiana and reports directly to the ITC HR Manager.

The Talent Acquisition Specialist leads talent sourcing and recruitment activities including University Relations.  The role partners with the site HR Business Partners and various stakeholders to help build and deliver on key business strategies related to talent acquisition. The ideal candidate will help drive site initiatives involving diversity & inclusion. 

Key Accountabilities:

  • Proactively engage with key stakeholders (leadership, HR Business Partners) to understand and plan for current and future hiring demand
  • Drive effective talent sourcing and robust hiring strategies to meet the needs of the business using the appropriate mix of internal and external recruitment.
  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners to ensure all aspects of the recruitment cycle are established and executed across all requisitions.
  • Assist in optimizing the candidate experience through the full life cycle of recruitment through initial onboarding in collaboration with the HR team.
  • Manage onboarding practices, recommend and execute continual improvements to enhance the employee experience.
  • Manage and expand University Relations including internship and college co-op programs.
  • Design, plan, and execute employer branding activities, in conjunction with Marketing team.
  • Evaluate employee satisfaction, the candidate experience, and retention measures and develop strategies for improving them.
  • Determine recruiting KPIs, present key findings and offer solutions on how to improve KPIs.
  • Research benchmark data to ensure strategies aligns with industry best practices.
  • Approach work with a mindset of continuous improvement, collaboration, customer focus, flexibility, positivity and engagement across the team.
  • Ensure HR policies and practices are effectively communicated and compliant with all applicable federal and state law/regulations to minimize company’s exposure to legal risks.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Safety and Health – Responsible for completing required safety training, reporting and correcting any unsafe practices as appropriate, completing work activities in a safe manner, and complying with safety and health requirements for respective position.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related discipline required.
  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience in the field of Talent Acquisition, Talent Management and/or Human Resources Development in an international environment.
  • Proven work experience as a Talent Acquisition Specialist or similar role
  • Hands-on experience with full-cycle recruiting using various interview techniques and evaluation methods
  • Familiarity with social media, resume databases and professional networks
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects.
  • Must be a team player with strong people skills; able to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Proactive, decisive and able to work independently on a broad variety of subjects.
  • Must demonstrate strong communication (verbal, written, and non-verbal), listening, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Results driven and accountable.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong competence in standard software applications: Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Workday or other talent management software experience.

This position will adhere to Global Star Safety Program, including safety rules, practices and training as outlined in the BorgWarner PTC Safety Policy Manual, which includes the use of equipment, protective devices, or clothing that the employer requires. This individual will work in manners that stress the importance of preventing accidents and illnesses. He/she must take every precaution reasonable in the given circumstance for the protection of themselves and coworkers. In addition, he/she is responsible for reporting all injuries and/or possible dangerous situations, incidents, or occurrences to the immediate supervisor.
