The Central Support Team are responsible for providing systems support to a number of local authority revenues, benefit and finance contracts.
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with a confident attitude to work in a busy and friendly environment on the CST Systems Team. Your key responsibilities will be to ensure the smooth running of the batch processing and to ensure that specified service levels are achieved.
Responsibilities will include:
• Preparation of batch schedules and checking of system outputs
• Maximising system availability
• Ensuring that documents and reports are produced at the correct time
• Ensuring that bills and letters are accurately produced and dispatched
• Accurately documenting procedures for others to follow
• Maintaining accurate records & documentary evidence to satisfy external audit scrutiny
• Improving processes to improve efficiency and accuracy
• Transmission of BACS files
• Resolution of system faults (i.e. Batch program failures)
• Integrity error investigation and correction
• Inclusion on CST out of hours Support Rota
• Participate in Annual Billing processing with the ability to lead on a contract
Hours are on a shift pattern working a 7.5 hour day between 7am and 5pm

Essential Experience/Skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work with a high level of accuracy and thoroughness
• Computer literate
• Excellent knowledge of MS Word and Excel and Outlook
• GCSE Maths & English – Grade C or above
• Transmission of BACS files
• Previous experience working in an office environment
• Working knowledge of Housing Benefit, Council Tax, Business Rates
• Knowledge or experience of batch processing within one or more of the following systems: One Revs, Northgate, Civica and Integra systems
Desirable Experience/Skills
â–ª Working knowledge of the following systems:
OneRevs, Northgate, Civica and Integra
â–ª Basic Linux skills (incl. isql and QBF experience)
â–ª Excellent problem solving skills
