About the Role
LMUK Ampthill is seeking System Integration and Test engineers with experience in delivering complex, software intensive systems to work on the design and development of Ground Based Air Defence systems (GBAD). Successful candidates will have demonstrable experience in planning, conducting and reporting on software intensive, network-based systems integration and verification test programmes. An understanding and experience of requirements-based SE methods and processes and the ability to work with Agile development principles would be advantageous.
Required skills, qualifications and experience
Working within a large multi-disciplinary engineering team to deliver complex systems to tight deadlines
Experience of requirements-based integration and verification of complex software intensive systems
Ability to use innovation and traditional methods to develop technical solutions to both simple and more complex problems
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience of creating test plans, test cases, test procedures and test reports for system integration and/or system verification testing
Knowledge and experience of any of the following:
Integration and verification of software intensive systems
Integration and verification of IP networked systems to military customers
Integration and verification of battlespace management systems#
Knowledge and experience of using one or more of the following tools to facilitate system integration and test;
IBM DOORS
IBM Rational Publishing Engine#
IBM Rational Quality Manager
Desired skills, qualifications and experience
Software and IP networks engineering experience and background
Configuration, integration and troubleshooting of recent Microsoft Windows desktop and server products
Configuration, integration and troubleshooting of network firewalls, switches and routers
Knowledge and experience of integrating ground-based radar systems, missile systems or tactical data links
Experience of system integration and verification testing using battlespace synthetic environments
Experience of battlespace systems field trials
Use of any of the following tools and products:
VR Forces
EXata
Test Complete
Wireshark or other network analysis tool
