The Systems Engineer ensures that all system components are maintained, updated, monitored, and accessible, and available according the company’s standards; while partnering with other engineers in the evaluation, testing, and implementation of diverse solutions. Will manage the planning, development, installation and operations of software systems by evaluating current and future business requirements and provide support for all customers as it relates to directory services design, software operations, application security.
You will:
Experience working with developers and leading the effort to document directory services, application dependencies and integration points
Project based experience extending Active Directory to cloud services such as Azure
Knowledge of Active Directory Sites and Services in a complex network with multiple sites with varying levels of connectivity
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Implementation, and maintenance of large-scale systems, preferably across multiple hardware and software platforms
Experience supporting complex computing infrastructure solutions in the data center environment
Scripting, Automation, and Configuration Management; experience writing PowerShell, and Python scripts to support Active Directory and other software.
Provides consulting services to client and corporate technical staff for analysis and design of portions of complex integrated systems and communication solutions
Plans and architects lab infrastructure solutions
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related preferred (equivalent work experience can be substituted for educational requirement
5+ years of working knowledge deploying/maintaining AD infrastructures and security
Managing, maintaining, and monitoring the infrastructure that supports user authentication
Serving on integrated teams resolving problems escalated to Tier 2 or 3 support
Understanding and troubleshooting of LDAP in application
In-depth knowledge and understanding of DNS, Infoblox/BlueCat
Proficient in Scripting PowerShell and Python to Modify AD Attributes, Group Policy Analysis, GPO Configuration & Item-Level Targeting, and Workstation Configuration
Experience with Microsoft Exchange 2016 and above
In depth knowledge, Understanding of: Active Directory (AD) Attributes, LDAP Queries
Knowledge of SSL certificate, lifecycle management and Microsoft PKI
Experience with Linux in an Active Directory environment.
Experience in SCCM / Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager
Understanding and troubleshooting Windows Server 2016 and 2019
Experience with VMWare 6.x and 7.x
Ability to work in a virtual team environment
