Key job responsibilities
. Triage & resolve the issues using dashboards & Tools.
· Drive root cause analysis of repeated issues.
· Automate the solution for the repeated issues.
. Develop solutions to aid operations and maintenance.
. Update knowledge book with new issues to be referenced in future.
. Review processes and look for optimizations and improvements.


A day in the life
As a Support Engineer, you will partner with SDE, Language Engineers, BIEs, Business and the Operations team to test and manage the various workflow and tools used by OPTIMA operations team. You will also be responsible for pipeline and dataset management of our Shopping customers and ensure they are compliant with Alexa’s privacy policies.

About the team
We at OPTIMA are responsible for creating great CX for our customers to shop using Alexa. If you are excited by technology and working in a fast-paced challenging environment drives you, we would love to have you as part of the Alexa Shopping – OPTIMA Operations team. Our goal is to be the North Star of the most reliable source for CX quality insights and ML annotations, to help Alexa shopping feature teams improve CX quality across shopping features, devices and locales

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· 2+ years of development or technical support experience
· Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems
· Experience in Unix
· Experience scripting in modern program languages
· Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical field
· 2+ years overall development/technical support experience
· Experience in java/Perl/Python
· Knowledge of the UNIX/Linux operating system
· Knowledge of Java based technologies

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Experience with enterprise-wide systems
· Experience influencing engineers best practices within your team
· A strong understanding of system performance and scaling
· Well-honed troubleshooting skills at various levels of complexity
· A strong understanding of operating system internals, including network and storage subsystems
· Experience developing on Linux and using AWS services
· Experience delivering projects in a fast-paced, highly collaborative work environment
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
