As a Support Engineer, you will get chance to work with business and development teams, and own the OE/EE work we do to improve our platform and services.
Support Engineers provide technical solutions and support at Amazon. They help in execution of multiple engineering practices, and methodologies. They work on multiple problems, maintaining high quality, architecturally sound systems that are aligned with our business needs. They think globally when supporting these systems, ensuring Amazon has high performing, scalable systems that work well together. They are hands on, producing both technical work and support/maintenance documentations and help establish processes and mechanisms.
Basic qualifications
Experience working highly scalable, high availability services. Experience dealing with performance, memory and high I/O throughput applications. The ideal candidate will be a experienced support engineer contributing to multiple simultaneous OE/EE efforts and initiatives. He/she needs to balance technical solutioning with strong business judgment to make the right decisions about maintenance of systems and performance. He/she needs to be constantly striving for simplicity, and at the same time demonstrate significant creativity, innovation and judgment.
