Job Description
Sales & Operations Planning
- Oversee the management of the S&OP process to ensure alignment of sales forecasts.
- Responsible for preparing and chairing monthly S&OP process, with representatives from all areas of the business.
- Provide the necessary data to identify critical decision points and provide effective written communications to drive resolution on outstanding matters.
Forecast management
- Oversee the Demand Planning function to ensure accurate and timely forecasts are updated to make the appropriate planning decisions.
- Drive forecast accuracy improvements & ensure alignment of forecast data and working capital targets.
Inventory management
- Manage domestic inventory levels on imported products to support the companies working capital targets.
- Ensure slow moving and obsolete stock is managed proactively through cross functional management efforts.
Product availability
- Review product availability to ensure customer delivery expectations are achieved.
- Highlight and resolve outstanding matters with sales managers on any critical service level issues.
Warehouse & Distribution
- Manage Australia wide warehouse and distribution via a National network of 3rd party service providers.
- Oversee the negotiation of rates with both warehouse providers and transport companies to service local customers with optimum service levels at the most cost-effective price.
Team Management
- Manage and provide guidance to 4 direct and 2 indirect reports.
Manage and Maintain Planning tools (JDA)
- Plan and prioritize local and overseas stock replenishment to maintain optimum inventory levels and support the companies service levels.
Relationships and People
- Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams and supply chain professionals globally to ensure up to date information is utilized throughout the S&OP process and any changes that are significant are proactively communicated.
- Communicate Supply Chain KPI performance for key areas to drive meaningful action to improve customer satisfaction and business performance.
- Comply with all Company OH&S policies & procedures and play an active role in managing/supporting and evaluating all areas of safety.
- Manage the Companies CoR policies and procedures to ensure careful selection and management of 3rd party providers to meet the Companies Chain of Responsibility commitments.
- Work with cross functional teams such as Sales, Technical, Quality & Regulatory
The Supply Chain Manager position is well-suited for you if you have:
- 5 years experience in Supply Chain specifically in planning/ logistics/ customer service in in a continuous production environment, FMCG or manufacturing
- JDA Demand Planning & Supply Planning experience with previous S&OP leadership experience is preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively functionally and geographically
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Excellent written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Good negotiator with ability to influence without authority
- Ability to work with ambiguity
- Ability to generate new ideas and implement new processes to drive improvement
- Experience with SAP and extensive knowledge of MRP & advanced Microsoft Office skills especially Advanced excel
- Analytical, methodical, and strategic disciplines
- Proven track record in stakeholder management, change management and project management
