Specifically, you can expect to:
- Guide your team through coaching and support. Direct Reports include Supply Chain Process Manager, Supply Chain Planning Manager, Material Requirements and Inventory Manager, Demand and Orders Manager, Supply Chain Performance Manager and Supply Chain Manager.
- Provide leadership and direction to supply chain teams responsible for the management of all facility supply functions in alignment with the Order-to-Delivery SAI and the Velocity CSF. Ensures that the supply chain divisions manage supply chain processes aligned with the CPS Supply Chain Process Manual and adherence to the CPS Supply Chain Rules.
- Take care of Supply chain span of control which includes supply chain processes, planning, material requirements, inventory management, demand and orders management, supply chain performance and logistics.
- Be a member of the Business Unit Leadership Team and provides inputs to business unit goals and strategy development. Also be accountable for development of the supply chain organizational design, key enterprise inventory metrics, point of use material availability, prime product availability and reduction of cash to cash cycle time.
- To ensure facility production schedules provide proper product availability to dealers/customers while balancing manufacturing constraint issues. Works with product managers to ensure supply chain strategies are developed and aligned with worldwide sourcing strategies, and provides inputs to supplier sourcing and resource management.
- Be accountable for supply chain performance improvements, including supplier certification and the supplier S&OP process. Works closely with relevant functional areas and assigns resources to supply chain performance improvement projects.
- Manager internal customers which include department employees, operations and business resource managers in the division and other partner units. External contacts include various customers and vendors throughout Caterpillar’s worldwide business units and markets.

Accountable to achieve PQVC targets across enterprise supply chain measurements and also accountable for supply chain key performance indicators in the areas of Committed Ship Date conformance and inventory turns and dollars.
To be successful in this role, you must bring (Basic Qualifications):
- B.E/ B.Tech College or university degree in full time, preferably in Supply Chain and/or Logistics Management or Industrial Engineering is required.
- At least 15 years of relevant experience in supply chain or related experience.
- Experience in inventory management and control, purchasing, parts distribution and/or supply chain/logistics is highly desired.
- Experience in information technology, supply chain logistics, global purchasing, operations and / or quality is desired.
- Transactional knowledge of Supply Chain systems
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities with Strong safety with focus on quality coupled with Operations awareness
