As a Supplier Manager, you will be responsible for: 

• Developing the vision, strategy and implementation plan for specific key suppliers to meet the strategies set forth by the Category Leads.

• Working directly with supplier leadership of key suppliers to assure alignment of Baker Hughes objectives.

• Developing deep supplier relationships with key suppliers to include data review and analysis, performance management and development and improvement of end to end value.

• Leads strategic projects and initiatives with suppliers.

• Understanding operational considerations in order to deliver annual value improvements and drives competitive advantage.

• Managing supplier risks by leading efforts to identify and develop mitigating options.

• Delivering financial, service, reliability, quality, innovation, and growth commitments.

• Escalating issues that may impact the Global Procurement, Product Line or Region Organization.

Fuel your passion 

To be successful in this role you will have: 

• Bachelor’s Degree (Engineering, or Business Management)

• Master’s degree or equivalent in an Engineering or business field of study

• 5+ years’ experience in Supply Chain, including 3+ years’ experience in a sourcing or procurement role.

• Knowledge of the Oil Field Services industry

• Working knowledge and experience in Sourcing Processes, Contracting, Negotiations

• Must be proficient in Microsoft office systems.

• Good verbal and written communication skill with ability to confidently present complex information

• Working knowledge and experience in Sourcing Processes, Contracting, Negotiations

• Analytical, sound judgment and decision making, problem solver

• Supply Chain professional certification such as CPSM, APICS, CSCP, CSCM, CPM or equivalent would be advantageous

• Lean or Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt Certification

• Advanced SAP knowledge and experience
