Position Summary

The Human Resources Supervisor will supervise and oversee the HR function with emphasis on continuous improvement in various aspects of operations through employee relations, organizational development, recruitment, training and safety.  Responsible for the development, implementation and administration of company HR policies, programs that support the requirements of the business strategy to ensure the optimum use of the company’s human resources and contribute to the overall operating income, cash flow and value creation objectives. Dedicated to high quality customer service, able to foster teamwork and creates a professional work environment. Duties will be general in scope covering a broad range of typical HR activities.

Key Accountabilities

  • Facilitate a collaborative environment and implement appropriate change management initiatives
  • Provide customer service to support the business through the consistent application of Human Resources policies and training practices
  • Demonstrate advanced competency in administering various HRIS applications (Workday, EV3, Kronos, etc.)
  • Create environment to support an ongoing development of talent utilizing current processes and systems (Workday, LMS, etc.)
  • Diagnose organizational development needs and identify best solutions
  • Administer BW Educational Assistance Program
  • Identify training needs and recommend training programs that support the organization’s change management initiatives and need for developing the knowledge and skills of all internal talent
  • Coordinate and conduct internal training programs and evaluate their effectiveness
  • Perform recruitment/placement activities for salaried non-exempt and exempt positions
  • Utilize most appropriate and cost-effective recruitment means (Workday, recruiting agencies, etc.)
  • Track recruitment metrics like time to hire and cost per hire
  • Coordinate interviewing process for candidates
  • Ensure policies and procedures are followed fairly and consistently
  • Implement employee relations activities that encourage employee engagement and positively affect morale
  • Conduct internal investigations and recommend level of discipline as appropriate
  • Will provide coaching and guidance to HR Staff if applicable
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of site safety and health goals, objectives, rules and procedures. Actively participate in the Global Star Safety Framework (GSSF) program, as well as, follow all EHS rules, procedures and policies

Qualifications

EDUCATION, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, psychology, business or related field; Master’s degree preferred
  • 8+ years of experience in human resources
  • SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent presentation, interpersonal, problem solving and project management skills
