Work You’ll Do

As a Business Technology Solutions Summer Scholar, you will be an integral member of a client service team, collaborating with diverse and talented team members to help solve multidimensional business problems, improve performance, and generate value for our clients across a broad base of industries. You will support strategic business transformation through the application of technology to our clients’ most complex problems, including examples such as: standing up cloud infrastructure, automating a business process using AI, designing innovative experiences for digital commerce using market leading platforms, or developing, architecting, and implementing a technology strategy to support executive-level business objectives. You can capitalize on our cross-industry presence to find your niche and build your individual brand within the organization. In addition to an understanding of business technology solutions, this person should have strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to solve complex problems and communicate findings.

A Business Technology Solutions Summer Scholar develops recommendations that optimize the use of technology within an organization, applying strategic technology solutions. We are looking for someone who can move fluidly across both business and IT stakeholders, understanding both the business and applying analytical skills to help clients take advantage of growth opportunities through the adoption of technology.

The Team

Our Deloitte Consulting team plays a major role in directly embedding technology insights into our clients’ organizational goals. At Deloitte, our consultants create sharply-focused solutions within an organization’s operating model, accounting for its people, intellectual capital, technology, and processes. Required Qualifications

• Junior standing in a full-time academic program with a target graduation date between December 2022 and June 2023
• Bachelor’s degree in progress in the following or related majors:
  • Business
  • STEM
  • Information Systems
  • Economics
  • Operations, Supply Chain, Logistics
  • Liberal Arts
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
• Strong academic track record (minimum GPA of 3.4)
• Availability to participate in the Summer Scholar Program full-time for 10-weeks from June to August 2022
• Ability to travel up to 50% (While 50% of travel is a requirement of the role, due to COVID-19, non-essential travel has been suspended until further notice)

How You’ll Grow

Throughout the course of the internship program, you’ll receive formal and informal mentorship and training. Our Summer Scholar training program provides a view both into the technical skills as well as critical professional behaviors, standards, and mindsets required to make the most of your internship. The program includes a variety of team-based, hands-on exercises and activities.
