Study Supervisor

A study supervisor is responsible for supporting Study Directors with the logistical and resource planning of regulatory studies. A Study Supervisor is expected to have technical knowledge of various laboratory and field-based procedures deployed within environmental fate and metabolism studies and perform those procedure as required.

What you’ll be doing:

• Perform regulatory and/or research based laboratory studies into the fate of chemicals in environmental compartments
• Help outline Study Plans for standard studies using international guidelines and regulatory guidance, study outlines and client-supplied information
• Perform and deliver regulatory studies making sure that the resource planner is up to date
• Produce outline reports to assist study directors
• Contribute to running and maintenance of GLP system
• Review audit reports and submit responses to QA assessors
• Review client comments and assist study director in submitting responses
• Interact/communicate with customers as necessary
• Assist line manager and project manager with delivery information ensuring that delivery risks are mitigated and studies are completed on time
• Train junior staff as required

What we’re looking for:

• Experience of laboratory-based environmental fate studies Performance of regulatory studies with GLP compliance
• Experience of radio-labelled biodegradation studies in environmental matrices (soils and sediments) and/or adsorption studies and/or ADME studies
• Experience of extraction/analytical methods for organic chemicals in environmental matrice
• Experience of delivery of difficult projects/studies ensuring work gets done on time and to forecast
• Knowledge of internationally recognised guidelines for regulatory studies
