Role purpose

The primary responsibility of the role is to work across functions in physical and virtual teams developing specific modules within the overall Vodafone UK strategy.

What will you be doing?

Develop appropriate approach/methodology for the analytical modelling factoring in competitor actions and reactions; and other sensitivities
Build commercial and financial excel models to analyse strategic issues that sit at the foundation of key strategy projects; ensuring models are sufficiently flexible to enable changes in key assumptions
Support Senior Strategy Managers with the completion of strategy recommendations (e.g. presentations) socialising model inputs and outputs (e.g. conclusions) with key stakeholders
Collaborate with stakeholders across other functions to obtain relevant input data, align on modelling methodologies and jointly validate analytical outcomes/conclusions
Contribute perspectives to the broader team on how Vodafone can enhance its strategic position in the market vs. competitors
Gain competence in new modelling tools to enable big data analysis

Who are we looking for? 

Positive ‘can do’ attitude and a large appetite to learn!
Excellent quantitative skills and modelling capabilities
Good interpersonal communication/collaboration skills
Ability to deal with high levels of ambiguity
Bachelor/Master’s degree
Minimum 4 years experience in either Tier 1 Strategy Consulting firm, Professional Services, In-House Strategy/Corporate Development team (or similar)
TMT knowledge and interest is a plus (desirable)
