Job Purpose and Impact

As the Strategy and Business Development Consultant, youwill support the newly created strategy department forCargill's Cocoa and Chocolate Group.The aim is to strengthen its strategic capabilities further and achieve its strategic growth target. As a part of the internal Centre of Expertise team, you will workclosely with internal Corporate Strategy and Development experts and act as a sparring partner tothe Group Strategy Leader.

We seek a professional tocontribute to the long term direction of Cargill's Cocoa & Chocolate Group by developing optimal revenue models, sales and distribution channels, pricing and new product development strategies.

Key Accountabilities

  • Lead our portfolio management office and drive the regional project game board process, including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and joint venture transactions, ensuring alignment with business strategy.
  • Develop market insights and translate them to commercial game plans by analyzing product demand and trends for defined regions/areas, building a competitive landscape, identifying strategic partnerships and developing actionable strategic and commercial insights.
  • Work in teams to complete complex strategy projects for defined regions by applying an in-depth understanding of strategy and advanced analytical skills.
  • Prepare recommendation documents using advanced communication skills to influence business leaders.
  • Lead, identify and resolve obstacles to complete a project on time and budget, including project plan, business metrics to measure through projects stages, risk and issue management, and ensure project objectives are met.
  • Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision while escalating only the most challenging problems to appropriate staff​​​​​.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Experienced in the food production industry.
  • Strong strategy organizational and process experience.
  • Experienced in portfolio and project management.
  • Confirmed analytical skills, conceptual thinking and a robust process mentality.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills.
  • Experience leading, coaching and encouraging feedback from a cross-functional team of individuals
  • Experienced in leading a cross-functional team of individuals through coaching and feedback

Preferred Qualifications

  • Seven years and above experience in commercial or business development.
  • Experience in Big 4.
  • Business understanding and driving data into strategy.
