(Fixed Term Contract)
We are hiring an Instock Manager for Consumables. Instock Managers are responsible for driving sustainable improvements in Amazon's inbound supply chain, working with both our biggest vendors, and internal teams across functions. We eliminate defects, reduce costs and ultimately improve our customer experience by allowing our customers to access the widest possible selection as quickly as possible.
Your Responsibilities
As an Instock Manager you will build an in depth understanding of Amazon's commercial frameworks and operational processes and programs. Your role will have three broad components. Firstly, you will own the delivery for the UK of one of our goals around product availability, operational excellence and automation. Secondly, you will take responsibility for a number of key vendor relationships with world leading FMCG companies, developing supply chain joint business plans and negotiating supply chain strategy. Thirdly, you will own a small number of projects or programs that deliver cost efficiencies to EU Consumables, working across marketplaces and functions, and directly impacting our customers through allowing them to access more selection, and receive it more quickly. You will be expected to visit vendors and other Amazon sites across the EU when required.
Who you will be
To succeed you will need to love solving complex problems, and you will be expected to make sense of ambiguity and prioritise quickly in a fast moving environment. You will be fascinated by the end-to-end supply chain from vendor to customer, and you will obsess over how to maximise product availability and minimise delivery speed for our customers, whilst reducing our overall cost to serve. You will be excited by collaborating with our vendors, our fulfillment operations teams, and our supply chain technology for this role. You will be adept at building relationships, influencing across teams, and negotiating with external partners.
Consumables is part of Amazon's Consumer business, and contains the fast growing categories of Grocery, Health and Personal Care, Beauty, Beer Wine and Spirits, Baby, and Pet Products. This role is based in the UK, but we manage our supply chain on an EU wide basis, and most projects and engagements are across Amazon's EU marketplaces.

· Highly analytical, flexible, action and results oriented, self-starting, and be comfortable with computer databases and online tools.
· Demonstrated ability to influence internal and external stakeholders and deliver results.
· Excellent written and oral communication skills.
· Supply chain, inventory management, vendor and/or project management experience.
