Job Description
As a Manager your responsibilities will include:
- Conduct a thorough assessment of the company’s total global spend on professional and business services as well as real estate
- Assess the global market for relevant goods and services including trends, forecasts, risks, geopolitical effects, and supplier profiling
- Participate in the definition of a fully comprehensive category strategy for professional and business services as well as real estate
- Translate global procurement strategy into detailed category plans with a set of measurable global, regional, and local targets
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and avoidance that are attributable to the P&L and able to be audited by a Finance stakeholder
- Execute on target opportunities by conducting strategic sourcing projects and supplier selection related activities using best practices and e-Sourcing tools
- As appropriate, lead the negotiation and development of key contracts through the effective partnering with the supplier, Legal, and the business stakeholder
- Manage designated key strategic supplier relationships to ensure quality, cost, delivery, and service. Conduct timely reviews with suppliers to measure performance against contractual standards and performance expectations
- Develop risk management strategies relating to potential supply disruptions including alternative sourcing options and product/service availability
- Help drive a supplier enablement strategy to maximize spend transacted through SAP Ariba Buying and Supply-Chain Collaboration
- Support the delivery of 100% digital cataloging of key procurement contracts
- Identify procurement processes and policies for alignment at the country, region, and global levels
- Provide business SME for future digital procurement platform deployments

Qualified candidates will have:
- A bachelor’s degree in business, supply management, engineering, life science, or other related discipline and 5-7 years of procurement/purchasing experience
- Technical, plant operation, and/or engineering experienced preferred
- Knowledge and understanding of purchasing practices, policies, and procedures; in-depth experience in using SAP Ariba as a value creating tool, SAP Fieldglass, and PowerSteering
- Experience in international procurement / sourcing activities with a record of leading change and cost reduction in cross-cultural environments
- Experience in successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously with results consistent with management’s expectations
- A demonstrated history of successfully collaborating with multiple internal stakeholders
- A passion for managing and developing employees in alignment with company values
- An ability to multi-task
- Strong oral and written communication skills, be highly organized, and have excellent problem solving/decision making abilities
- Excellent analytical and financial acumen including cost modeling, budgeting, and forecasting
- Excellent skills within the Microsoft Office suite
