What are we looking for?

• Bachelor, preferably Masters degree in business, procurement or related field

• 7 years of professional experience, ideally global buying and sourcing experience for indirect categories including General Services,

• Demonstrated successful performance in role of similar scope and breadth. 

• Previous management experience that includes Proven Leadership, Change Management and Project Management skills. 

• Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions in complex and/or ambiguous business environments. 

• History of building strong client and supplier relationships

• Global experience, knowledge and understanding

What will be your key responsibilities?

• In partnership with the regions (aligned with regional sourcing/operations managers), the role is responsible to develop an enterprise wide Annual Sourcing Plan (ASP) for all Mars’ segments globally, across Professional Services (including Travel, Events & Conferences, Corporate Cards, Car Fleet and Mobility as well as the related sub-categories) to ensure maximum coverage of the $250M+ USD in spend; embedded in a 3-5 year category strategy.

• Develop and Lead the Global Sourcing Travel & Mobility community across regions to build deep category expertise and knowledge and that is responsible to develop, plan and execute strategies that not only deliver savings, but also drive innovation, effectiveness and efficiency through excellence in category management.

• Lead strategy execution and globally coordinated tenders such as, but not limited to global airlines, global hotels, travel management, company cards, car fleet ...

• Partner with the key Global stakeholders including P&O, S&F, Sales and the functional Leads within the segments to ensure alignment with the long term business strategies as well as Annual Sourcing Plans.

• Responsible for the relationships with Global suppliers to drive performance management, deliver continuous quality and cost improvement as well as develop supplier enabled innovations.

• Develop Category insights & benchmark, import best practices and ensure knowledge management within MGS Commercial for the Spend Categories under your responsibility.

• Drive the utilization of sourcing technologies, including e-sourcing and e-auction.

• Provide leadership and guidance to the category community to maximize Global and Critical supplier relationship management, financial and contractual negotiations across the various category of spend.

• Ensure the supplier base is optimized according to the category management strategies to enable the end to end procure to pay process.

• Responsible to drive compliance, including Responsible Sourcing, with zero exposure and ensure all governance according to the Mars standards.
