POSITION SUMMARY
The Strategic Planning Director must own a Product, or set of Products, to drive measurable improvement against established Key Performance Indicators in line with Department Goals. To achieve these goals, they must partner with Business Product Owners, Technical Product Owners, Operational Leaders, Subject Matter Experts, and Key Stakeholders across the enterprise to evolve Accredo’s Product Strategy to improve customer experience (patients, caregivers, prescribers, and clients), deliver internal mechanisms to drive smarter business decisions, and improve value.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Serves as the customer proxy by understanding key business objectives and strategy of the product Assesses business value and prioritize all work to maximize value in line with product strategy Analysis of complex business situations, including distillation of the issues, developing insights and potential solutions, and driving appropriate conclusions.
Manage complex cross-functional strategic product development initiatives using appropriate project management skills. Develop and communicate concise presentations and executive briefings. Streamline processes to improve throughput, quality and service level agreements Create strategies to leverage Technology to drive value.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Work with Operations to ensure that they are engaged and supportive of direction.
Work with Product Management and Stakeholders to define and prioritize the Product Backlog (refinement).
Create User Stories and Acceptance Criteria, ensuring stories clearly communicate customer/Stakeholder needs to the development team; work with team to clarify stories as necessary. Responsible for final decisions on product functionality.
Participate in and prepare for Program Increment Planning Involved in Program Backlog Refinement. Provide clarification on User Stories and Product Backlog to the team.
Accept User Stories, or delegate to appropriate Business Product Owner. Participate in team demo, retro, and Inspect and Adapt.
Understand and support inter-team dependencies, and escalate issues when necessary.
Work with the delivery team to set and communicate release date and scope.
Work with Team Members to ensure products are working in production (potentially – depends on DevOps model).
Ability to monitor potential risks and develop mitigation plans Identifies improvements and codifies them for broader consumption.
Collaborate with all team members to promote an environment of empowerment and creativity.
Communicate the product roadmap clearly and inspires the team by painting target product vision.
QUALIFICATIONS
15+ years of experience, or 10+ years relevant experience with Bachelor’s Degree, or 5+ years relevant experience with Master’s degree.
Microsoft Office software experience.
Atlassian software experience (or similar agile management software – i.e. Rally).
Advanced problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Willingness to share opinions and take risk.
Takes initiative, independent thinker and worker.
Strong business analysis skills and familiarity with financial models.
Ability to develop and model hypotheses and conclusions while identifying assumptions.
Experience with Client facing business units preferred.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage work load and meet project deadlines.
Experience leading teams to define, scope, analyze and resolve strategic issues.
This role requires less than 10% of travel. You will need to be fully vaccinated in order to travel & meet the requirements for this position.
For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of $140,600 - $234,300, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.
This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus and long term incentive plan.
