Job summary
Do you want to be a key part of a team focused on helping startups and brand owners from around the world to launch their new, innovative products on Amazon? If yes, you will be excited to know that we are looking for bright and ambitious individuals to build their careers within the Amazon Launchpad Europe team.

Key job responsibilities
Working within one of the fastest growing areas of Amazon, you will pitch the Amazon Launchpad programme to founders and employees of innovative, emerging brands in Asia, identify high-potential brands, onboard successful candidates onto the programme and guide them to unlock growth on Amazon in their first 3-12 months. You will also contribute to driving programmatic initiatives for Launchpad.

Key responsibilities include:

* Implement a detailed, analytical recruitment strategy for Amazon Launchpad to identify high-potential startups
* Pitch your cohort of startups on the benefits of participating in the programme and launch those who agree to join
* Work closely with teams sitting in Asia to source startups and develop and refine referral processes
* Drive marketing and PR initiatives with startups to grow their brands in Europe
* Own reporting for Asia-based startups entering Europe
* Own the development and evolution of this part of the business as it grows
* Product manage at least one complex area for the whole Amazon Launchpad programme

A day in the life
You start off your day exchanging WeChat messages with several Chinese startups which are considering joining Amazon Launchpad, before holding a call with a Korean seller where you pitch the programme and its benefits as a great fit for their upcoming expansion into Europe. With Asia starting to go offline, you turn your focus to a proposal for how we can better help startups formulate their GTM strategies through a new tool we recently launched, analysing relevant data you pulled yourself and incorporating key learnings into a document you're presenting to the team's leadership next week. In the afternoon you have a couple of internal meetings and then help some of your sellers to troubleshoot issues and leverage the programme's benefits. You finish off the day with a team stand-up, where you learn that a colleague has just launched a new initiative to help our sellers scale. You can't wait to communicate the good news to your portfolio of sellers, but it's already late in Asia, so you'll have to wait until tomorrow.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Operating in a fast-moving and challenging environment, Amazon’s high performance bar requires that you are:

* Self-motivated and results-driven
* Someone with 3+ years of professional experience, preferably in sales, business development or account management
* Passionate about online business, ecommerce, startups and innovation
* Able to work autonomously, taking responsibility for achieving your sales targets
* An excellent communicator with strong, proven negotiation skills, educated to degree level
* Numerical with the ability to apply intermediate/advanced Excel skills
* Fluent in written and oral English

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

An ideal candidate would possess:

* Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or a related field
* Fluency in an Asian language (Chinese, Korean or Japanese strongly preferred)
* Demonstrated track record of success in project management
* Experience in ecommerce, retail or startups
* Intermediate/advanced SQL skills
* Experience in data analysis - either professional experience or through education
