Job Description:

Our group, Platform Engineering, removes the heavy lifting of software development by providing optimized technology solutions at scale, unleashing the true value of Personal Investing’s development potential.  We are searching for a results-oriented Director, SRE Engineering and Observation to scale our team as we grow.  You will own production preparation of new functionalities in our ever-evolving complex global real-time trading and customer systems. Our systems are focused on enterprise-grade high availability and performance.  If you are a Systems Thinking, SRE Leader who has helped teams scale through production insights, operational automation, developer guidance, real-time metrics, automation, automation, automation…we should talk!

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

• Experience in managing SRE and SRE Engineering Teams

• Ability to learn new software, method and practices and bringing them to our developers

• Experience with Jenkins, CI/CD pipelines and methods.

• You are experienced in Instrumentation with systems skills on building and operating monitoring, metering, logging, alerting services of distributed systems at scale

• Experience building and operating log aggregation, tracing, metrics aggregation, and alerting systems that aid in diagnosing and understanding what is going on in complex microservice environments

• Experience operating and implementing distributed & highly concurrent service-based architectures, including microservices, containerized services, and/or serverless architectures

• Experience in fast-paced, iterative design environments such as consumer internet or mobile applications/gaming industries

• Experience in AWS preferred

• Experience with Datadog and Splunk are a plus

• Operations of a SaaS Service a plus
