Job summary
Amazon’s European Fashion team is looking for a strong creative and analytical Head of Merchandising, responsible for owning all on-site marketing and merchandising touch-points, and delivering growth through continuous experimentation and inspiring merchandising. This role will manage a small team of 3 marketers and own the end-to-end merchandising strategy and execution for Amazon Fashion, working closely with the Content and Traffic team to build our annual campaign strategy, execute monthly campaign plans, and unlock growth by creating experimentation roadmaps across search, detail page and other fashion storefronts.
Key job responsibilities
• Own merchandised landing pages and cross-site browse marketing campaigns (Search, detail page) from end-to-end: managing creative processes, targeting and segmentation, planning, execution (building/scheduling), reporting, and optimization.
• Builds strategic wireframes for landing pages in partnership with content, design, and fashion production teams.
• Manage seasonal/monthly flip timelines and project kick offs through to execution inclusive of process optimization contributions.
• Responsible for the development of experiment roadmaps as well as execution, analytics and results share-outs
• Develop metrics, goals and KPIs to measure and track progress to marketing metrics, goals, and KPIs to measure success of marketing campaigns monthly and quarterly
• Identify trends and signals in which types of campaigns, including creative, product, or messaging is performing best, and utilize these inputs to optimize campaign strategy over time
• Coordinate with multiple teams to provide thorough and authoritative category creative content (Design, Copy, Technology/Discovery, Content)
• Own vendor/seller related marketing strategy and execution activities, working in partnership with category marketing managers and seller marketing managers
The ideal candidate will have a high attention to detail, will work effectively cross-functionally, and enjoy the challenge of forming and testing hypothesis in a fast-paced, ambiguous space, while- continuously Think Big with new ideas to deliver growth via merchandising.
• Bachelors degree
• Several years of experience in Product/Programme Marketing and/or Merchandising
• Outstanding verbal and written communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to think strategically and commercially while executing methodically with high attention to detail, operational excellence and ability to multi-task
• Ability to use hard data and metrics to back up feature and customer segment recommendations
• Ability to coordinate projects across functional teams, including product management, marketing, creative, legal and program teams
• Manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously and deliver results while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
• Direct experience in e-commerce, fashion retail, customer experience, or a related field
• Technical and analytical experience in excel (SQL a plus).
• MBA preferred.
• Other European language skills (in particular German, French, Spanish, Italian).
