Position Summary:

The Sr. Traffic Analyst will work with the Traffic and Export Compliance group involved in the following areas: Export Regulations, Import Regulations, Customs Regulations, Traffic, Logistics, for both international and domestic shipping. The Traffic and Export Compliance group handles carriers, freight forwarders and brokers worldwide, coordinates critical shipments as well as shipments that may be delayed during the customs clearance process anywhere in the world. Corporate Traffic and Export Compliance ensures Adobe follows U.S. export regulations for shipments originating domestically and internationally.

The Sr. Traffic Analyst will receive direction from and work closely with the Manager Traffic and Export Compliance and team headquartered in San Jose, California.

The Sr. Traffic Analyst will be encouraged to tackle multiple projects simultaneously and work independently to resolve them. Additionally, they must develop knowledge of the different functional groups within Adobe and be able to support their business needs. A major part of supporting business needs involves ensuring established processes and procedures account for the implications of noncompliance, as it relates to the interpretation and application of import and export laws and regulations governing the movement of Adobe’s software product, business, and personal shipments. The Sr. Traffic Analyst will follow all standard operating procedures and suggest process improvement opportunities as they present themselves.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Manage a diverse workload of export and import-related projects and tasks and adapt to shifting priorities on a day-to-day basis
  • Collaborate with management to ensure leadership is aware of compliance requirements and issues
  • Provide trade compliance support on high-priority and special projects across the company, including mergers and acquisitions
  • Perform Denied Parties Screening to align with U.S. export and other legal requirements
  • Worldwide import/export clearance support
  • Commercial Invoice Review
  • Update and maintain SOP\'s and Internal Compliance Manual
  • Work with key business partners such as Order Management, Procurement, Legal, eCommerce to ensure compliance with new business initiatives
  • Represent Traffic and Export Compliance on cross functional teams as needed
  • Perform periodic risk assessment to identify gaps in processes, drive automation and improve processes wherever possible
  • Reviews and approves freight payables
  • Handles loss and damages claims
  • Vendor and Broker management

Knowledge & Skills:

  • BA/BS or proven experience in fast paced environment
  • Advanced knowledge of U.S. Export Laws and Regulations
  • An advanced understanding of international business, logistics and supply chain functions, trade compliance (Export and Import) rules and regulations
  • Experience working with domestic and international freight forwarders
  • Experience with SAP GTS or similar Export Management System required
  • Experience with Harmonized Tariff Schedule and essentials of import and export activities
  • Project Management skills required
  • Software industry experience beneficial
  • Experience with global, multinational companies
  • Experience working with a geographically dispersed team
  • Ability to interact and communicate effectively with others and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Proven flexibility in dynamic environments and ability to adapt to shifting priorities
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and multi-tasking skills
  • Good written communication and interpersonal skills with all levels of an organization
  • Customer service oriented with both internal and external customers
  • Good written and spoken English required
