The Senior Talent Acquisition Partner - Manufacturing will play an integral part in providing OneMars full life-cycle, cross segment recruitment expertise on all aspects of the hiring process for manufacturing roles. A key focus will be ownership of the talent strategy for one (or more) manufacturing sites relative to their staffing needs and managing business needs that operate in a highly dynamic and competitive recruitment market. This role will build a pipeline of potential candidates that align with Mars Five Principles while continually promoting Mars’ employer reputation. For the assigned region, the Senior Talent Acquisition Partner is responsible for ensuring that Mars attracts and selects high-performing, high potential associates who will drive the business forward. Full life-cycle recruiting includes consulting with hiring managers to determine critical capabilities, designing the staffing and sourcing strategy, provide market intelligence, pre-screen candidates, provide a diverse slate of candidates and facilitate debrief meetings to ensure the highest quality candidates are hired. This role also is responsible for preparing offer proposals and acting as a liaison between the hiring manager, candidate, Recruitment Process Outsource (RPO) vendor and Total Rewards.
Texas Regional Assignment: 1 manufacturing site in Waco, TX and 1 site in Temple, TX
Education & Professional Qualification:
Minimum qualification: University degree or equivalent, preferably in HR or Business
Five or more years of experience in full life-cycle recruitment for high volume positions in a complex, diverse, and high growth manufacturing environment
Strong computer skills and experience with applicable software (e.g. Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) systems such as Workday and Candidate Relationship Management (CRM) tools such as Phenom People, and market intelligence tools such as LinkedIn Talent Insights)
Ability to serve geographically distributed hiring managers while consistently delivering professional customer service and bias for action
Strong relationship building, networking, and interpersonal skills
Ability to interpret global processes, practice local operational policies, address issues, troubleshoot for resolution and escalate issues to appropriate parties as needed
Ability to prioritize business and customer needs utilizing strong time management and organizational skills
Strong written and oral communication skills
Ability to provide oversight and management to synthesize/bring synergy to multiple initiatives by establishing courses of action to ensure that work is completed efficiently; adjusting priorities and establishing management routines to effectively track progress and identify issues, removing barriers and leveraging resources
Experience using various interviewing methods and assessment tools such as Korn Ferry to assess and select the right talent for our organization.
Ability to lead several TA initiatives/projects in addition to managing your daily requisitions
Provide peer support/coaching
Key Responsibilities:
Drive and own the talent strategy of each manufacturing site within assigned region while coaching an advising hiring managers on the recruitment process
Work closely with manufacturing leaders to determine core capabilities/experiences for success in the roles within their scope; create a strategy for requisitions of senior level roles and work with senior stakeholders in attracting diverse candidates with the right skills and capabilities to ensure Mars short and long-term business objectives
Serve as the Talent Point of Contact for assigned manufacturing sites and in partnership with business partners and business leaders; anticipate hiring needs across segment(s) supported
Serve as a Mars ambassador, guardian of caliber, culture fit, diversity, and candidate experience throughout the recruitment process
Leverage knowledge of best practices and capabilities of internal and external recruiters to manage the acquisition of diverse senior talent
Provide ongoing reporting regarding status of current open roles to People & Organization (P&O) team, functional hiring managers, and leaders
Manage relationships with key providers when being leveraged for recruitment support and responsible for ensuring recruitment partners understand Mars values and are a consistent extension of Mars employer reputation to hiring managers and candidates
Partner with Recruitment Process Outsource vendor to continuously build an external talent pipeline utilizing social media and our CRM Phenom People; proactively source for high-quality candidates and maintain relationships with talent for future opportunities; create and nurture relationships with internal sourcing team/external agencies/Associate Resource Groups (ARGs); develop creative and alternative external sources of talent and keep current on leading edge external recruitment best practice
Travel to manufacturing sites within region to build relationships, understand the roles that will be recruited, and gain insights on the unique ways of working in each site (up to 30% - 50% of time)
