PROFILE SUMMARY

The Sr. Strategic Planning Specialist uses expertise in the Pharma Rebate & Contracting space to organize and analyze complex data while developing insights and creating deliverables and action plans that support execution and value creation.  The Sr. Strategic Planning Specialist will also lead complex cross functional project teams and assist with visualization of data and concepts critical for decision making. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Evaluation of strategic Supply Chain concepts
• Take rough ideas and formalize them for assessment
• Review internal and external research, summarize insights
• Assemble the appropriate cross functional teams and lead the management of multiple work teams providing sound business direction and execution.
• Ability to define project scope, build business cases and socialize initiatives across relevant stakeholders and impacted teams including external parties.
• Project Management and execution of valuable Supply Chain concepts
• Develop action plans and artifacts critical for project execution
• Assist with tracking Pharma rebate value across many value enhancement initiatives
• Demonstrate initiative and independent thinking
• Analytical and logical with advanced problem solving skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with senior leaders

This role is Flex/WFH which allows most work to be performed at home or on occasion at a Cigna office location. Employees must be fully vaccinated if they choose to come onsite.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree in relevant discipline or equivalent
• 8-12 years relevant experience OR Master’s degree with 6-10 years relevant experience
• Proficiency in Excel, Data Analysis
• Excellent verbal and written communication, and presentation skills
• Proficient in PowerPoint and proven ability to develop presentations
• Knowledge of process improvement, data delivery, and reporting automation preferred
• Knowledge of health care and/or PBM industry preferred
• Must have a proactive management style with strong ability to communicate with and manage large cross-functional stakeholder teams
• Ability to identify strategic solutions, with little or no direction, assemble the appropriate cross functional teams, resource key projects, and lead the management of multiple work teams providing sound business direction.
• Ability to influence and garner the trust and support of colleagues at all levels
• Adaptable, flexible, and able to lead/manage the organization through change
• Goal oriented and personally accountable; resourceful and self-directed
• Ability to work effectively in dynamic, rapidly changing, team-based environment
• Demonstrated success meeting and driving goals/targets
• Ability to provide leadership and direction to cross-functional teams to ensure successful outcomes.
• Healthcare research knowledge and clear communication of industry trends and market-leading strategies
