As a Specialist Technical Account Manager (STAM), you’ll provide strategic guidance to customers across EMEA on the use of AWS Management and Governance services and the implementation of Operations best practices to reduce operational risk.

Role

In this role you will have the opportunity to work along side subject matter experts in the team. You’ll play a key role in ensuring customer success as they migrate their workloads to the cloud. As a trusted advisor, you’ll ensure their operational excellence on AWS. This includes providing deep process and technical expertise to help customers overcome complex operational challenges.

With your in-depth operations experience and knowledge, you’ll help customers understand and implement best practices for operating in the cloud.

This includes helping customers to mitigate against operational risk using scalable solutions in a cost-effective manner on AWS. You’ll have a large scope of influence working with C-Suite executives across multiple teams. You’ll shape strategies for customers to utilize appropriate processes and tooling (including AWS Management and Governance Tools) ranging from start-ups to established enterprise customers across EMEA.

This also includes developing content and running enablement sessions with customers such as workshops and immersion days.

As a STAM, you’ll uplift our overall operational excellence capabilities in the region by enabling other AWS teams such as Technical Account Managers and Cloud Support Engineers. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Deep understanding of the relationship between business requirements and IT operations
· Experience in similar role as a Solution Architect, Cloud Architect, Devops Consultant, Devops Engineer, Consultant, Senior Systems Engineer, Technical Lead, Site Reliability Engineer, Platform Engineer etc.
· Experience in developing and implementing operations processes and technology in large, complex organisations in multiple industry verticals, across a wide range of technology platforms.
· Strong skills in operations principles such as ITIL and DevOps.
· Strong skills in operations capabilities such as incident, change and problem management; patch management; monitoring and logging; operations automation.
· Executive speaking and presentation skills – Formal presentations, white boarding, large and small group presentations.
· Strong written communication skills as well as a proven track record of writing clear process and technical documentation
· Ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations and virtual teams.
· 10+ years’ experience in developing and implementing operations processes and technology in large, complex enterprises in multiple industry verticals, across a wide range of technology platforms
· Fluency in English.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· + Years in a similar role.
· AWS Certifications: Solutions Architect Associate/Professional and/or SysOps Administrator Associate/DevOps Engineer Professional desirable.
· Operations Certification such as ITIL.
· Software development experience in automation, tools and dashboards. Experience in a high-level programing language such as Python, Golang or Java
· Internal enterprise experience working with a wide range of internal stakeholders on operations implementation or migration with a company-wide impact.
· Company or regional-level recognition in the area of specialization
· Ability to understand complex application data flows and bridge the gap between technical and business app requirements.
· Track record of implementing the cloud best practices (provisioning, deployment, monitoring using AGILE / DevOps methodologies and tools) for enterprises or large internet scale startups.
· Understanding of cloud operations, hybrid cloud environments and cloud migration projects at scale, particularly from an operational effectiveness and reliability perspective
· Fluency in any additional European language is advantageous
