Amazon’s INTech (International Technology) organization is seeking talented Sr. Software Development Engineers to join our growing team. As a member of our team, you will have the chance to significantly impact our systems, our business, and most importantly, our customers.
As a Sr. Software Development Engineer, you will contribute to all aspects of an agile software development life cycle including design, architecture, development, documentation, testing and operations. You will push your design and architecture limits by owning all aspects of solutions end-to-end, through full stack software development.

• You will be in charge of the complete software development life-cycle; defining, prioritizing, designing, building, and testing new features
• You will operate with globally distributed servers and customers.
• You will get the opportunity to work closely with a great team of software developers who will help you grow (and also learn things from you).

This job is based in Paris.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
· 10+ years' experience software development
· Computer Science fundamentals in object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design and analysis
· Expert skill in one modern programming language such as Java, Python, C, C#, C++ or Perl
· Strong object-oriented design experience including design and enterprise patterns
· Written and spoken proficiency in English

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Strong object-oriented design and coding skills
· Thorough understanding of Internet protocols, service oriented architectures and internet security fundamentals
· Ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions
· Experience building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers
· Knowledge of software engineering best practices, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
· Ability to take a project from requirements through launch
· Experience communicating features and designs with both business and technical stakeholders
· Strong distributed systems and web services design and implementation experience in a Linux environment
· Experience as Tech Lead for a team of very talented software engineers
